Entrance St James's Apartments

Refurbishment of an entrance hall and communal areas over six floors in a building of historic importance in the heart of London.

A dingy entrance hall was transformed into a dynamic and elegant space by raising the ceiling heights, the addition of a pair of arches, and the restoration of original architectural features : ceiling mouldings and a fan light.

Portland stone steps and floor tiling highlight the bespoke wall panelling, a blend of monochrome natural grey tones.

By combining a sophisticated lighting system with mirrored surfaces, illuminating the architectural features of the interior, the overall effect of space and depth of vision are magnified.

The interior space now reflects and harmonises with it’s period exterior, creating a contemporary – classic design.
